Why upgrade: The "update available" notice introduced in v2.7.0 is now reliable even when your forum cannot reach Advally at the moment you open the options page.
What changed: If the update check cannot complete, the notice no longer claims you are on the latest version. It now shows "Could not check for updates right now" and checks again on the next page load, so "running the latest" only appears once it has actually been confirmed.
Upgrade: Download the archive, then in your XenForo Admin control panel go to Add-ons, choose Install/upgrade from archive, select the file, and confirm. Your existing settings carry forward with no changes needed.
Rollback: Reinstall the previous archive from the same Add-ons screen if you need to revert.
Compatibility: XenForo 2.3, PHP 7.4 or newer. No plan or configuration changes required.

Why upgrade: This release lets your forum's Advally plugin report its current settings to Advally automatically, so the configuration shown in your Advally dashboard always matches what is actually live on your site.

What changed: The plugin now sends a short daily summary of its current settings to Advally in the background - which features are enabled, your ads.txt options, your ad unit layout, and version information. This runs once a day and does not change how ads are served or how your forum performs. Your plugin's private API credentials are never included in this summary.

Upgrade: Download the archive, then in your XenForo Admin control panel go to Add-ons, choose Install/upgrade from archive, select the file, and confirm. Your existing settings carry forward with no changes needed.

This update adds in-product help and fixes a couple of ad placement issues.

New: the Advally Modules admin page now has a help panel that explains how to confirm ads are actually live on your site. The panel can be dismissed and will stay closed once you have read it.

Fixes: navigation links are no longer blocked by an ad overlay, and the staff bar is no longer hidden behind an ad unit. We also hardened internal error logging.

To update: in your XenForo Admin Control Panel, go to Add-ons, then Install/upgrade from archive, and upload this release. Your existing settings carry forward. No configuration changes are required.

v2.6.14 — Fresh-install compatibility fix

Why upgrade

If you installed the plugin on a new XenForo site and visited any page before saving the Advally options for the first time, you may have seen a fatal PHP error. This release fixes that. No more crash on fresh installs.

What changed

The plugin now gracefully handles a missing or not-yet-saved option. Previously, accessing any Advally setting before the options were written to the database could cause a PHP warning to bubble up as a fatal error — particularly in development environments. Every Advally option now falls back to a safe default if the row is not present, so the forum runs normally even before first-time configuration.

This affects ad unit settings, the feedback widget toggle, user group permissions, and the OAuth pairing flow.

No visible change for sites that are already configured and running normally.

Upgrade

1. Download the ZIP from https://advally.com/plugin/xenforo/release
2. Admin CP → Add-ons → Install/upgrade from archive
3. Select the ZIP and confirm — all existing settings carry forward

Rollback

Download the v2.6.13 ZIP from the same release page and install it the same way.

Stable release of the Bug Reporter Widget introduced in v2.6.0. Supersedes all v2.6.x hotfixes.
Moderators and staff on WebOps-enrolled Advally sites now have a feedback bubble in the bottom-right corner of every page. Clicking it opens a report form — title, description, severity (low / medium / high / critical), and the current page URL captured automatically. On submit, a ticket is filed directly in your Advally WebOps backlog, linked to your forum and site. No manual triage needed.
The widget stays hidden on non-WebOps sites — no configuration required.
Default severity can be set in Admin CP → Options → Advally Advertising → Feedback Widget.

The Advally Modules page now says something honest when it can't load, instead of sending you on a reconnect loop. A couple of sentence tweaks on the connection card. Nothing functional moved.

Cleaner Advally Advertising options page — a pile of internal connection fields that most publishers never wanted to touch are now hidden. You still see the connection card at the top, your user group ad experience matrix, ad unit settings, and ads.txt controls. That's it.
