With this evolution, advertising strategy has changed and here\u2019s why:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Pandemic accelerated the digital consumer interaction by several years in a short period of time and many of the changes are here to stay. According to<a href=\"https:\/\/www.mckinsey.com\/business-functions\/strategy-and-corporate-finance\/our-insights\/how-covid-19-has-pushed-companies-over-the-technology-tipping-point-and-transformed-business-forever\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">&nbsp;<\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/www.mckinsey.com\/business-functions\/strategy-and-corporate-finance\/our-insights\/how-covid-19-has-pushed-companies-over-the-technology-tipping-point-and-transformed-business-forever\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">McKinsley&amp;Company<\/a>&nbsp;here is the graph of how these changes affect the world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to<a href=\"https:\/\/www2.deloitte.com\/us\/en\/pages\/about-deloitte\/articles\/press-releases\/digital-media-trends.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">&nbsp;<\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/www2.deloitte.com\/us\/en\/pages\/about-deloitte\/articles\/press-releases\/digital-media-trends.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Deloitte<\/a>: \u201c80% of U.S. consumers are now paying for streaming video services, up from 73% before the Covid-19 pandemic began. &nbsp;Additionally, as of last year,<a href=\"https:\/\/socialmediaweek.org\/blog\/2019\/10\/2020-video-marketing-and-statistics-what-brands-need-to-know\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">&nbsp;<\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/socialmediaweek.org\/blog\/2019\/10\/2020-video-marketing-and-statistics-what-brands-need-to-know\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">78% of people<\/a>&nbsp;watch videos online each week, and 55% say they watch them daily.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Here\u2019s a few key reasons that video on smartphones is increasing so rapidly:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Smartphones are available at different price points that make them accessible to everyone.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The improved bandwidth availability of cellular networks, the emergence of 3G, 4G and now 5g mobile connections have led to increased video consumption.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Data plans are becoming more affordable.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Video platforms, such as YouTube, Vimeo, and Twitch have attracted a massive monthly audience.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The Growth of video player adoption and original video creation by creators\/publishers.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>App Annie recently published their key<a href=\"https:\/\/www.appannie.com\/en\/insights\/market-data\/2021-five-things-you-need-to-know-in-mobile\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">&nbsp;<\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/www.appannie.com\/en\/insights\/market-data\/2021-five-things-you-need-to-know-in-mobile\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">mobile trends for 2021<\/a>. They expect mobile ad spend to reach $290 Billion by the end of the 2021 calendar year. This estimation represents a 2-year CAGR of 21%. The high ad spend is a result of the growth in mobile activity during 2020.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The average daily time spent per user went up 20% from 2019 during the pandemic, hitting a new high of 4 hours and 20 minutes per day. This equates to over 25% of the average user\u2019s daily waking hours.
